At Purple Finch Productions, we take drone safety seriously. We have an FAA-licensed Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) pilot on staff. Our Process
Phase 1: Plan
Safe drone flight consists of two basic concepts that we will study to assure your safety. 1) Airspace - We will confirm the airspace is open by the FAA or that we have permission to fly. 2) Weather - The forecast should call for clear skies and low winds.
Phase 2: Fly
On the day of our flight, we will again confirm the forecast is safe for takeoff. The drone can fly for approximately 25 minutes per battery, and we carry up to three batteries. In order to fly, we must have unobstructed sightlines of the sky.
Phase 3: Produce
Once our DJI Mavic Pro, affectionately named Maeve after the character in HBO's "Westworld," has safely landed, the hard part is over. We will take the highlights of the flight and turn it into a 1-3 minute video with music for you to share!
