Highlight Your Tourist Destination!

One of New England's best tourism video production companies

Why video drives tourism to your region.

Purple Finch Productions is one of New England's top tourism video production companies.  We were created in 2018 as a destination marketing video company and that has always been our speciality.

The boom of social media has created a significant change in how travel destinations market themselves to tourists.  Today, most people plan their trips online, and video is the most interactive content in their decision making.  Directors of tourism departments must have their marketing concepts focused on video and content creation to attract visitors to their area, or those visitors will go someplace that looks more fun based on the videos being produced by a different location.

Our clients in destination marketing use our videos in many ways!  In 2022, we produced a project with Discover Gloucester that partnered with Visit Widget to create a "Plan Your Trip" section featuring video.  Throughout 2018-19, we worked with the Greater Merrimack Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau to create destination highlights that could be shared at international travel agency conventions.

How will you use video in your marketing plan?  Let's brainstorm together!

Our Process

Phase 1: Plan

What's special about your area and why to tourists visit?  We want to highlight more of that, and we also want to consider some of the hidden gems or events that might draw more people to visit if they knew about it.  We'll set up a video call to learn more about your marketing strategy.

Phase 2: Film

One thing that makes us successful in creating high quality travel and tourism videos in New England is our ability get the shot and keep moving!  We are able to visit many locations in one day.  Our camera gear is designed to be mobile: small in stature (not in price), a gimbal, a drone that could fit in a small back pack, etc.

Phase 3: Produce

Following the filming day, our expectation with standard, paid-in-full clients is that we will deliver the video to review with you within 21 days of filming.  As a premier tourism video production company, we have multiple editors on staff with significant experience in creating videos that show off everything from breathtaking landscape to mouth-watering food.

Our Price Structre

Customized to Fit Your Budget

"What's your budget?" is a question we ask each travel department when creating a proposal.  Our price structure is straightforward.  We understand that most organizations are working with approved funding, and we can deliver the amount of service that fits your needs and your budget.

Depending on the budget for a fiscal year or approved grant money for video marketing, we've tailored proposals to recent clients to focus on filming, production of videos, or a combination of both.

One day of filming: $2,000

This includes all pre-filming planning, day of travel* and on-site filming, and all post-filming logging of video.  It may include one or two videographers depending on availability and necessity.

*There is a surcharge on excess travel and/or those that require overnight acommodations.

One video (up to 2 minutes): $600

Every two minutes of produced video is estimated at this preice (ex. a video that runs up to four minutes would be $1,200).  This allows us flexibility to produce the videos that best fit your goals.  We allow up to two rounds of edits per project submission.

Longer play videos that require less post production are subject to consideration based on editing requirements.

Professional Production Music (Complimentary)

We have a partnership with Universal Production Music which licenses us to use their production music library for digital platforms (non-television).  This music is far superior to the royalty-free stuff you'll find elsewhere, and it adds a fine polish to each of your videos!

Proposal Price Guarantee

We understand you're working on a specific, approved budget amount.  Our guarantee to you is that once we sign a mutual contract that we will stand by the financial amount in our proposal when meeting the agreed upon deliverables in the contract.  If there is a request to change the deliverables, we will work with you on a new rate to add deliverables or modify deliverables to match the current rate.

*Listed rates on our website are subject to change based on project requests and/or travel requirements.  The amount provided in a proposal (and agreed upon through contract) is final and non-negotiable.

Jonathan was well informed of the services GSIL provides and had a keen sense of our end goal. Jonathan captured all the key elements of being an attendant car employee and was able to tell a story most people have yet to experience.  Jonathan was prepared, considerate, engaged, well informed, and most of all, a professional.

Meagan Sbat

Get Fit NH

Jonathan was awesome to work with! He created a thoughtful and meaningful plan and the execution was easy. Being on camera is an uncomfortable and awkward experience but he managed to pick out the awkwardness and piece together a powerful message that has resonated strongly with my clients.
